4 Month Update

We just had Ava’s fourth month checkup on Friday. She now weighs 9 lbs., 13-1/2 oz. which only puts her in the 3rd percentile for her weight. The doc, however is very happy with her weight gain and said she will most likely be on the petite side. She did gain 2 lbs since her 2 month checkup which is great for a babe her size.
A lot has happened since the last update, however she is still sleeping and eating great. We have now started her on rice cereal and she is doing well with it. We had her Easter photos taken at Sears and need to go pick them up!
She is a very happy baby – smiles and laughs all the time. She has found out now that she can yell, which can prove to be very interesting.

We got a letter from the attorney stating that our adoption finalization hearing will be Thursday, April 22 at the Lancaster County Courthouse on Duke Street at 10:40am. We would like to extend the invite to family and friends to attend if they would like. We can fill the courtroom if we wish. I understand that is a workday for most, but please let us know if you want to come. We are planning to go for lunch afterward for those that can. What a day to celebrate!
